Why we Do It

Quite simple. First seek the Kingdom of God. We need to place God's priorities first, and care for "the other" is part and parcel of Kingdom living. But those for whom we care need to be transformed as well. Before PAZ embraces a project, we want to be convinced of two things:

• People need to receive real practical enduring help aimed at making them interdependent in their own society rather than dependent on us.

• The Gospel of Jesus Christ has to be the foundation under all the work, and must be shared with those who benefit from development activities.

The encounter with Christ profoundly transforms life. Coaching in Kingdom disciplines and principles further add necessary concepts and foundational life skills.

We invest, train, equip, and coach. And we get to see them grow and live. Can it get any better?

Field Report/Testimony (2015) — In utter desperation Mr. DAD [names and places have been anonymized] decided to reach out to our small business team begging for a miracle. Over the past 15 years he had gone into debt paying for the services of witch doctors in an attempt to deliver his adult daughter Ms. DAUGHTER from evil spirits. He would never have perused this desperate move a few weeks earlier as the local village chief was a man who openly opposed anything to do with the Christians and their faith. The village chief was a constant prayer point for our team and we had been praying that our heavenly Father would intervene. Miraculously God removed him from his position of authority giving Mr. DAD a window of hope. Mr. DAD approached the new village chief requesting permission for his daughter to be prayed for by our staff and other Christians from the community and have the demons expelled from her.

An urgent prayer request was sent to many locations all over the world requesting we lift the small business team up in faith believing in a miracle. We know that the healing power of Jesus' shed blood will break the lies of the devil, bring healing to the sick, and strengthen the faith of His children.

Ms DAUGHTER, her parents, siblings and extended family all came to the small business operation with expectant hearts; a huge surprise as we were only expecting Ms DAUGHTER and her father. A number of our Christian small business staff and some local Christian leaders ministered to the entire family. Three specific spirits were cast out of her. A dramatic change came over Ms DAUGHTER. She was coherent, spoke clearly, answered questions and her body behavior became peaceful. The father taking the lead and with his entire family and extended family prayed to receive Christ!

Lunch was later enjoyed together with an amazing atmosphere: It was like a large dark cloud had been removed from the area and there was just a joyful spirit buzzing in the air.

I am sure the new village chief had no idea that the power of our Saviour would be revealed today in such a powerful miraculous way. We believe we are at the beginning of something really special. Pray for unity, faithfulness, love, consistency in our walk with our Father, steadfastness, boldness and wisdom as the evil one wants to destroy all things from our Father.
